About this CITO:
With the local geocaching series 'Braydon Byway' leading from here, the pull off layby of Dog Trap Lane has a lot of use by cachers and muggles alike. The aim is to tidy up the area around the large roadside layby and along Dog Trap Lane & Byway.
Before the CITO starts a small brief with Health and Safety will be given. Children are welcome (if not in school) but need to be kept under parental control, similarly with dogs too.
We will bring bags for people to use, we ask if you have any gloves, grabbers please bring them. Also because it is by the road some hi-Vis waistcoats will be on offer. The Main road is one of the busiest in the local area
Filled bags can be left in the designated spot for the council to remove later in the week, or if too much will be taken away for disposal sooner.
After the CITO:
There will be a logbook for people to sign and a group photo showing the results of our labours. If people wish to then go forth and do the series along the byway, ideal chance to do so or some of us will probably visit the local Watering Hole - 'The Turnpike' an old fashioned pub of yester-year. Please Note: This pub only has drink and nibbles on offer and no meals, and takes cash only, cards not taken.
