Albert Prinz von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha, Herzog zu Sachsen (1819-1861), der deutsche Prinzgemahl von Königin Victoria (1819-1901), hat seiner Heimatstadt Coburg und der späteren Wahlheimat England zu viel Ruhm und Ehre verholfen. Wusstet ihr z. B., dass die inzwischen auch in Großbritannien weit verbreitete Tradition, an Weihnachten einen Weihnachtsbaum aufzustellen, vermutlich auf Prinz Albert zurückgeht?
Auch heute noch erinnern viele Gebäude und Denkmäler an Prinz Albert:
- In Coburg z. B. das Prinz Albert-Denkmal auf dem Marktplatz oder der neu gestaltete Albertsplatz .
- In London das Victoria and Albert Museum, die Albert Bridge, oder das Albert Memorial im Hyde Park, das in Sichtweite der berühmten Royal Albert Hall steht.
Deshalb laden wir, Die_Butzis, euch zu einem Meet-and-greet Event in Coburg ein:

Wir freuen uns auf viele Coburger Geocacher, auf die Gespräche über Geocaching und Caches vor Ort. Es besteht die Möglichkeit zum TB-Tausch. Ein Logbuch ist von 15-16 Uhr vorhanden.
Es erwartet euch eine typisch britische Überraschung, deshalb im Will attend angeben, mit wieviel Personen ihr vermutlich kommt.
