Geocache Description:

This Educational Event (EduVent) is brought to you by the members of: GeocacheAlaska!

Working hard to promote Geocaching in Alaska! Please join us today!

Meet fellow geocachers and learn all about the Event hosting aspect of geocaching from experienced cachers on Thursday, March 19, beginning at 6:50 p.m., at the BP Energy Center, 900 E. Benson Blvd. (Click for map.)

Tonight's presenter is Wes Skinner (NorthWes) (GeocacheAlaska! President), talking about Events and the delights involved in gathering together with fellow geocachers. NorthWes will also walk through the simple process of getting support for an event from GeocacheAlaska!, and what forms that support can take. This event is perfect for all cachers, regardless of age or experience level. Bring a friend, even a muggle, as the more the merrier.

This event will be carried live over the internet via WebEx with audio over a phone line. Contact us immediately if you can host a remote site session elsewhere in Alaska. GeocacheAlaska! Sourdough Members who cannot attend an event site can link in remotely. Contact the Webmaster for instructions on how to do so.

Please post a "Will Attend" log on this event page to stay appraised of any changes or updates to this presentation. If we need to make any announcements about this event, all registered attendees will automatically receive an email copy of those announcements via the email you have registered with your Geocaching.com account. Adding a "Will Attend" log to this page will also assure enough hard copy handouts are printed for the event participants.

Please arrive on time so upfront administrative details can be handled and announcements made, allowing the course content to start precisely at 6:59 p.m. Also, please bring your favorite nonalcoholic beverage and a dessert to share with your fellow cachers.

The GCAK Store will be available onsite immediately before the presentation. We still have some 2014 pathtags available in addition to our regular GeocacheAlaska! merchandise.
