This event is a social gathering of geocachers, their friends and families as well as anyone else interested in learning about and participating in this exciting outdoor hobby/sport. It provides an excellent opportunity to meet, share stories, ask questions and exchange trackables (travel bugs, geocoins etc.
Anyone who attends the Event can post an "Attended" log, which counts as a "Find" in their geocaching statistics.
Following the 11:00 A.M. to Noon Meet n' Greet there will be a woodland "geo-walk" beginning at 12:00 noon for those interested in getting lots of fresh air and exercise.
Bring your lunch as well as geocaching stories and trackables to share with other keen cachers.
Don't forget your bush boots, long sleeves, long pants and insect repellant for protection against wet and/or rocky ground as well as scrapes, bruises and insects.
Children are welcome and encouraged to attend, but please leave your pets at home.
There is an outhouse on the property on which we meet, but where the geo-walk takes place none is available, so come prepared to rough it.
Cell phone coverage at this time is limited to a weak signal from the recently installed Bell / Virgin Mobile towers. No other service providers currently have coverage in the vicinity of the event.
Please log your intention to attend this event.
