The Lake Natoma Paddle Rally 2015 Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nor-Cal Geo-Paddlers: I would like to thank ...........SweetAnn, SWiggles, Roktman, StealthCowboy, Mama Wiister, The Wii One, MarshallOD and the Pirate 2+2 clan for making this a great day. These events only happen because of you and your fun twisted minds.

This was the 5th time we hosted this rally and my favorite to date. So many attendees, all sporting big grins, awesome attitudes and game for anything. I talked to lots of first time attendees and was amazed how far some cachers came. That is why we keep doing this, so thank you for coming and playing with us.

Bonus thanks to Jeditreker & Plazmo for the behind the scenes help.

See ya on the water!

Geocache Description:

In keeping with the "open to all" theme.......we are returning to the Negro Bar area of Lake Natoma for more fun & adventure

We will start and finish from the day use area (posted coords) at Negro Bar.

Team requirements: Minimum people per team 2. Maximum people per team 10. To try and keep it fair we would ask that each team have a minimum of two watercrafts.

This will be a timed course with 2 teams departing the launch area every 10 minutes. We will be setting up checkpoints along the route. Each team member is required to participate in the checkpoint challenges. The team with the best time after correctly completing the course will be the winner. >
Some things to know:
  • The access road is off Greenback Lane.
  • There is a $10.00 per vehicle entrance fee with NO launch fee for kayaks/canoes.
  • There is a kayak rental place at Negro Bar.
  • We will draw names at 10:30AM to determine each teams starting time.
  • The first team will leave at 11:00AM.
  • The day use area offers shade, BBQ`s and tables.
  • Bring water, sunscreen, life vests and sensibleshoes.
  • Bring a chair and something to eat for the after-paddle picnic.

Whether your a long-time paddler or it`s something you've been wanting to try, we welcome your presence.
