Thanks to IndyMagicMan for this cache idea. The cache IS at the posted location, BUT, in order to log this as a find, you must complete the challenge. Play nice and only search for, sign, and log this AFTER you have done so.
IN ORDER TO LOG THIS CACHE AS A FIND, YOU MUST HAVE FOUND AND LOGGED ENOUGH CACHES TO TOTAL UP TO 1,000,000 MILES FROM YOUR HOME COORDINATES. See below for different ways you may verify your qualification. Once you have met the requirements, go find it and sign the log. The Difficulty and Terrain for this cache are a factor of the effort you will have to put into qualifying for the cache.
- For the Tech savy; Use GSAK and center on your Home coords and export your database to .csv. Load this file into a spreadsheet and Sum the Miles column.
- Use the FindStasGen macro for GSAK and calculate “Distance from Home” which will display an “Average Distance”. Multiply this number by your total finds.
- Use Statistics on your Geocaching.com profile and calculate a total “Distance to Finds”. You’re going to have to use the lower number in the range here and will lose a lot of miles.
