Geocache Description:

This cache is one of a series of 26, the Surrey A-Z, placed across the county by a team of 'Surrey Cachers'. The caches vary in type, size and difficulty, and each location has a different initial letter...

Surrey A-Z

'J' is for Jacobs Well.

According to wikipedia, Jacobs Well is a modern (20th century) village. I can find no references to a well in the vicinity.

This cache is not at the published location, you will have to look for it having solved puzzle below.

In a time long ago, there were ten rings of power. They were, from the smallest Mot, then Hai, Ba, Bon, Nam, Sau, Bay, Tam and Chin, to the greatest Muoi. A greater ring was able to support any of the lesser rings, but was unable to support any still greater. Their creation is lost in the mists and myths of a bygone era, but it came to pass that they were all together in a crumbling edifice.

Concerned, if a ring can be concerned, that their abode was doomed, they determined to move to the better condition edifice of two adjacent ones. When they all concentrated, they could move the least one present to another abode where support was available.

We do not know how long movement of each ring took - was it one hour, one day, one year or one generation of the short-lived humans that began to abound. But history talks of a 'day'. And that moving the ten rings to their new chosen rest, even when moved in the ideal fashion, took more than 1000 'days'.

The cache may be found with the aid of the various rings moved on certain 'days'. Muoi, though the greatest, should be considered as less than the least.

'A' moved on day 80. 'B' on day 768. 'C' on '780'. 'D' on 896. 'E' moved on day 920. 'F' on day 11. 'G' on day 464. And 'H' on day 512.
