Geocache Description:

A solar eclipse is one of nature's miracles. It happens when the moon passes directly between the earth and the sun, casting a shadow on the earth's surface and appearing to block out the sun. A total eclipse completely blocks the sun, but on this occasion only around 80% of the sun's disc will be blocked. It's still worth seeing though!

The eclipse starts at 0825 and ends at 1041. Click here to see a page showing what you can expect to see.

The event will start at 0815 and end at 1045 (earlier if it's cloudy).

IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO LOOK AT THE SUN, EITHER WITH THE NAKED EYE OR WITH BINOCULARS/TELESCOPE. THERE ARE SAFE WAYS, THOUGH. CLICK HERE TO SEE THEM. PLEASE ENSURE YOU AND ANYONE WITH YOU TAKES ALL SENSIBLE PRECAUTIONS. REMEMBER THAT THIS IS NOT A TOTAL ECLIPSE.
