This cache is located by Olney Springs, Colorado. Not a lot around this area but we sure can make it a nice spot for geocachers. This is one of many planned caches to hopefully get a nice power trail going in the area.
As always, with this type of desert terrain, be watchful and cautious for things that poke, sting and bite. And remember, a good cacher always practices CITO if needed! Thanks for visiting our neck of the woods and happy caching!
Pork Pie Hat - the first hat to be called a pork pie hat was worn primarily by American and English women beginning around 1830 and lasting through the American Civil War. The pork pie began to appear in Britain as a man's hat not long after the turn of the century in the fashion style of the man-about-town but it's resurgence in America in the 1920's is credited to the silent film actor, Buster Keaton who wore them in many of his films.
