Geocache Description:

The cache IS at the posted coordinates.

The Challenge

Find at least 11 caches for each calendar day in December, January, and February.

Feel free to click on the Project-GC banner, below, to see if you've completed this challenge:

PGC Checker

Winter. Holiday festivities interfere with your geocaching—not that you really want to go outside and face that bitterly cold wind anyway. And when you do search for caches, you’re hampered by a deep layer of snow and short daylight hours. Then there’s that whole thing of February 29th only showing up once every four years. So, this is the season to prove you’re made of the right stuff. Get out there…and bring a shovel.

The Details

  • All cache types are eligible.

  • Your finds can be spread across multiple years. You do not have to find 11 caches for 91 consecutive days.

  • Yes, you must find at least 11 caches for February 29th (on one or more leap years). That’s one reason why this challenge has a 5-star difficulty rating.

Logging this Cache

You can sign this cache’s physical log sheet before you complete its requirements. But do not log an online “Found It” until you’ve signed this cache’s physical log sheet and shown that you’ve met the challenge requirements. We’ll delete any premature “Found Its.”

If you sign the physical log sheet before you complete the requirements, then you can log an online “Write Note” to help you remember this fact.

Providing Proof

If your Groundspeak finds calendar can be viewed by the public, then you don’t have to prove you’ve met this challenge’s requirement; we’ll simply check your Groundspeak profile’s statistics page.

If your Groundspeak finds calendar is private, then you must prove you’ve met this challenge’s requirement. The easiest way would be to upload a screen shot of your calendar in your online log:

Less easily, you could log a list of 1,001 (11 x 91) finds that includes (at a minimum) each cache’s GCCode and the date you found it. The Project-GC challenge checker's output (see above) might assist you in this task:

Credits

We got the basic idea for this challenge from leopold22’s “Challenge: 366 Calendar Days x 10 Finds/Day” (GC3TH5K).

Congratulations in advance to behmSquad for being the first to complete and find this challenge. (We briefly considered making this a “12 x Winter Challenge” just to trip him up, but it was too dang cold outside.)
