SLAGA Spring Picnic 2015 Event Cache

This year, the SLAGA Spring Picnic heads west to Quail Ridge Park in St. Charles County. This 250 acre park features 7 miles of hiking trails, playgrounds, dog parks, an 18 hole Disc Golf Course, the National Horseshoe Pitchers Hall of Fame, and the main lodge was voted the "Best Wedding Destination," (Michelle and Jeff??).

We will be meeting at Shelter No. 6. which has plenty of parking, lots of picnic tables, electricity, water and barbecue pits, this shelter is a great place with plenty of room for all of us. It is totally wheelchair accessible, shaded and dog friendly, too!

I have been informed that someone is placing at least 10 new hides in the area, to be published before the event. When??? Stay tuned. Don't you love SLAGA!!
 

DETAILS:

SLAGA will be supplying the hot dogs, brats, hamburgers and buns along with condiments, plates, napkins and utensils. We ask that you bring a side dish or other food to share and your drinks. The prices will be as follows:
 

• SLAGA Premium Member Adults $5.00
• Non-Premium Member Adults $7.00
• Kids 5-12 $3.00
• Kids 4 and under free

Please post your "Will Attend" log as soon as you can with the number of people attending, your preference of meat and how many you'd like. This allows us to order what we need without buying too much. Please list what dish you will be bringing as well.

We will be having a 50-50 drawing (you must be present to win), Geo Bingo, Silent Auction, Travel Bug Table, the Ammo Can Toss, Closest to the Pin contest, and new, The Picture Game, as well as numerous attendance prizes.
 

NEW GAME - THE PICTURE GAME

This should be a fun addition to our SLAGA events. SLAGA has developed a board with member photographs in their YOUNGER years. To play, the contestant must correctly identify as many of the photos as possible. The person who identifies the most, WINS!!! It’s simple, fun and should create many laughs. I wonder if hints are in order.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

• 9:30 a.m. - Set up.
• 10:30 a.m. - Registration begins.
• 1:00 p.m. - Lunch begins.
• 3:00 p.m. - Silent Auction bidding ends and all games close.
• 3:30 p.m. - General announcements and business, Milestone Awards, Silent Auction and 50-50 winners, all game winners, and Premium Membership drawing.

Also, SLAGA has a few new Travel Bug tags (for the race) that will be available for $5.00 at the spring picnic.
