March's moon is known as Lenten Moon, the last full moon of winter. The date of Easter was established as the first Sunday after the Paschal Full Moon, the full moon that occurs on or soonest after the spring equinox. This year, the first day of spring is March 20, the Paschal Full Moon is April 4, and Easter is April 5.
