vo voľnej sérii tradičných kešiek s názvom Elevations QUEST. Vytiahnem Ťa na miesta v krásnej prírode, ktoré sú zaujímavé geograficky, geodeticky alebo len tak... pekným prostredím a/alebo výhľadom.
Dnes Ťa pozývam do Stredy nad Bodrogom, do najnižšie položenej oblasti na Slovensku. Pre kešku si ideme na kótu 95 m n. m.
O tom, kde sa nachádza najnižšie položené miesto na Slovensku, sa okolité obce „naťahujú“ dodnes. Isté je, že miesto, na ktoré si pre kešku prídeš, je doposiaľ najnižšie úradne zameraným slovenským miestom. Slovenský Geografický a kartografický ústav Bratislava niveláciou určil v roku 1994 klincovej značke v kamennom monolite nadmorskú výšku 95,6 m n. m. Kým štátne úrady neurčia nižšie položené miesto, ručím Ti za to, že práve tu budeš stáť na podlahe Slovenska.
Viac o obci si prečítaš napríklad na ich úradnej stránke alebo v listingoch blízkych kešiek, ktoré si takisto môžeš pri svojej návšteve užiť. No a prečítaj si tiež, ako sa sem ten balvan vlastne dostal. A teraz už poď von! ☺
P.S. Možno už vieš, možno nie, že v štatistikách project-gc sa Ti veľmi pravdepodobne objaví iná nadmorská výška, keďže systém SRTM3, ktorý používajú, je v našich končinách nepresný.

to free series of the traditional caches called Elevations QUEST. I am going to bring you to the places in a beautiful nature, which are interesting geographically, geodetically or just as they are... with nice countryside and/or view.
Today I invite you to Streda nad Bodrogom, the lowest situated area in Slovakia. To pick up the cache we go to the spot height 95 MAMSL.
There are disputes up to now between the neigbouring villages, concerning the lowest situated slovak point in their cadastres. However it is sure, that the place you will visit in order to find this cache, is the lowest officially measured slovak land point yet. Slovak Geographic and cartographic institute Bratislava determined in 1994 by levelling the nail sign in the stone monolith its elevation above the see-level to 95,6 m. Till the state institutions don’t find lower situated point, I can take a guarantee you will stay on the floor of Slovakia right here.
More about the village you can read on wiki site e.g. or in the listings of surrounding caches, finding of which you can enjoy as well at the time of your visit. So let’s go out!☺
P.S. You might know, or not, that within the statistics of the project-gc most probably there will show up different figure concerning the MAMSL, since the system SRTM3, which they use, is quite inaccurate in our area.
