Langdon Plotlands is a stunning 461 acre nature reserve with woodland, meadows, lakes and former plotland gardens.
The Visitor Centre
On the site is The Haven which is the last remaining building of nearly 200 Plotlands homes which used to occupy the site. The Plotland's homes were built by families who bought individual plots of land on the site. Although the sites were originally intended for holiday homes, World War 2 meant that many families had to live in these tiny homes permanently. You can visit The Haven which has been turned into a museum to show what life was like during these difficult times in the 1930s and 1940s.
The Haven, Plotlands Museum
We have arranged a CITO event focusing on conservation around Langdon Plotlands. We will be helping with bush clearance, helping to prune various areas of the reserve and assisting with some litter picking. Children can help to build bug hides which will then be placed around the reserve. New caches will be released for the event too.
