Schedule:

WSGA Annual Meeting - 7:30PM Saturday

This year the Puget Sound Chapter, with an assist from the Olympic Peninsula Chapter, invites you to the 2015 WSGA Summer Campout at Manchester State Park. Manchester State Park is a 111-acre camping park with 3,400-feet of saltwater shoreline on Rich Passage in Puget Sound. Nestled in woods of Fir and Maple, Bainbridge Island is visible from the beach.

Activities: There are several water activities such as boating, diving, and saltwater fishing. Other non-water activities include bird watching, horseshoe pit (bring your own horseshoes), mountain biking, volleyball net (can double as a badminton net), wildlife viewing, and several hiking trails. There is one interpretive display inside the former torpedo warehouse.

Who can attend? The Campout is open to everyone, members and non-members alike. Come for a day, or spend the weekend.

Saturday dinner: Join us for the traditional Saturday evening barbecue dinner and potluck. This is the main event, covered by your registration fee. WSGA will provide the hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and beverages. The rest is potluck, so bring your favorite side dish or dessert to round out the meal. After dinner, we’ll have the annual WSGA general meeting. The WSGA President will give their “State of the Club” address for our members and lead a Q&A session.

Camping: We have reserved the group site, which accommodates up to 130 people and 12 RVs. We have also reserved 2 additional RV Sites near the group campsite. Amenities include a fire circle, covered shelter and picnic tables, electricity, and restrooms with showers. Campsites and RV sites are available for Friday and Saturday nights only. If you are camping with us, you must select one of the camping options, as well as the per-person registration fee for all members 10 and over.

Check-in starts at 3:00pm Friday and Check-out is 12:00pm Sunday.

Tent camping: Group camp; no site assignments.

RV sites: We have reserved 14 sites with partial hookups, 12 in the group camp and two nearby. RV sites will be assigned before/at the campout. Due the limited number of RV sites they are first come, first served.

Day visitors: If you plan to join us for the Saturday activities (including dinner), you will need to register and pay for each person attending. You will need a Discover Pass to enter the park. You should be able to purchase a day pass at the park entrance for $10.

Registration Deadline: The deadline has passed. You can still join us on Saturday and pay on-site ($10/person) for the dinner and goody bag (supplies limited). On-site registration is at the nonmember rate and cash only.
