A bridge over the Liddel Water which forms part of the border between England and Scotland

The bridge has notoriety for people jumping off the bridge into the river below (Type Penton Bridge into You Tube on the Internet)

Penton Bridge is a Category B Listed building which was listed on the 3rd August 1971

Early 19th century Road Bridge, single wide segmental arch over River Liddel. Coursed stugged and squared rubble, with recessed ashlar arch-rings; ashlar parapets perhaps not original and splayed at approaches, terminal piers with pyramidal caps
