This cache is part of the memories series set up by The Old Soldier and me focusing on our childhood memories and the places that played a part in them. We hope that you enjoy visiting the places and sharing in the memories of two middle aged romantics!
Memories:
This place is important to us for many reasons but the main one being as it is where we met and where a few years later we took over the whole building when we held our wedding reception.
It also provided me with my first taste of work as I used to babysit for the owners children (while Ady unbeknown to me was working downstairs) and later I worked behind the bar.
It was a place where I made numerous lifelong friends who were all there to support me when the other half was away as he was throughout most of our early years together. And it was the place where we sat up late setting the world to rights.
Both of were in the darts team (at different times) and were pretty good at it. Coincidentally I was partnered with a guy with the same name as The Old Soldier.
