One day in Bikini Bottom, SpongeBob Squarepants was on a very special mission.
His boss, Eugene H. Krabs, told SpongeBob to take the Krabby Patty secret formula to the safe deposit box.
As a precaution, Eugene Krabs gave SpongeBob a walkie-talkie. “Call me on this in case there are any issues.” (don’t ask me how a walkie-talkie is supposed to work underwater – just follow along).
Soon, SpongeBob came across his friend Patrick. “Oh…what are you doing?” asked Patrick. “I’m on a secret mission.” replied SpongeBob. “What’s the mission?” asked Patrick. “It’s a secret.” SpongeBob answered. “Ohhhhh. That sounds fun.” Said Patrick.
Just then Eugene Krabs called SpongeBob on the walkie-talkie “What’s the status SpongeBob?” SpongeBob told Mr. Krabs that he was speaking to Patrick. “What?!” cried Eugene Krabs, “I’m not paying you to chat!” SpongeBob replied “But you aren’t paying me anything.” “I know.” Said Eugene Krabs greedily “Now get on with the mission.”
So SpongeBob continued towards downtown Bikini Bottom. As SpongeBob was walking down the sidewalk, he thought he saw Sheldon J. Plankton lurking behind him.
He got scared and called Eugene on the walkie-talkie. “I think its Plankton Sir!” But there was no reply. “Come in Mr. Krabs. Eugene? Come in!” Still silence.
So SpongeBob started to run. He ran through alleys, over coral reefs and past the Mariana Trench. Finally he stopped. He had lost Plankton. But he was also lost himself - he really wished he had a map. He had no idea how to get back to Bikini Bottom. He had no idea where Mr. Krabs is or what happened to him.
