Urban exploration (doslova "mestský prieskum") alebo infiltrácia je súkromný prieskum verejne/oficiálne neprístupných nadzemných aj podzemných objektov a zariadení vytvorených ľuďmi najmä v mestách, ktorý je na hranici medzi "archeológiou" a adrenalínovým športom. Medzi skúmané objekty patria najmä katakomby, staré nepoužívané budovy, kanalizácia, staré továrne, strechy, kostoly, nemocnice, tunely, mosty a podobne.
Modern ruins is a neologism referring to ruins of architecture constructed in the recent past, generally in the most recent century, or since the 19th century.
The term is most frequently used by people performing urban exploration of man-made architecture that is abandoned or no longer accessible to the general public, such as structures abandoned through the process of urban decay. Enough documentation on these sites may have been lost over time that this unscientific exploration resembles archaeology of ancient ruins in the methods used to collect information.

Je mi jasné, že nie každá keška, ktorá je venovaná „Lost Place“-u musí v listingu takúto ikonu skutočne aj obsahovať a naopak. Ako vždy, aj v tomto prípade všetko závisí na kvalite práce a námahe, akú si CO s prípravou dá. V záujme zjednodušenia a vyhnutia sa komplikovaným debatám či tá-ktorá keška spĺňa zadanie alebo nie, rozhodujúci je skutočný počet nálezov ikony „abandoned structure“ v štatistike.
I´m perfectly aware of the fact, that not every cache dedicated to a „Lost Place“ will automatically have this attribute in the listing. Nevertheless, for simplicity reasons, as well as to avoid annoying discussion whether a particular cache is OK or not, the only true criterium accepted is, how many times you have found a cache with the „abandoned structure“ icon.

Odlov - ako obvykle - na vlastnú zodpovednosť, zvýšená opatrnosť je na mieste. Rešpektujte tiež T-Rating a kešku po zalogovaní vráťte prosím na pôvodné miesto. Pre prístup nie je potrebné preliezať ploty (dier je tam dosť). V tesnej blízkosti prechádza BNCh (bielo-zelené značenie).
As usual, I accept no liability for any accidents or injuries. Be careful with where you step & what you do and respect the T-rating. Always exercise common sense and caution. Please replace the cache so it matches the terrain difficulty. There´s no need to climb over fences to get to the final (you´ll find plenty of holes). To get to the cache, follow the miner´s educational trail (white-green touristic marking); you´ll have to leave the trail for the last 50m or so.
