NoVAGO's 2015 Winter Event
Headed South for Winter!

The holidays have passed and the new year has begun. This can only mean that the NoVAGO Winter Event is just around the corner! Due to the popularity of last year's indoor winter event, this get together will also be conducted in a warm, dry location (secured with the help of our friends from the Rappahannock Area Geocachers). Come out to the Rappahannock Regional Library (Porter Branch) and join us. All are welcome to attend!
On top of coffee, pastries, and assorted light brunch-like delectables geocachers will be given the opportunity to sit in on a series of presentations and activities designed to elucidate, amaze and entertain. Topics scheduled so far include:

Activity Notes:
- GSAK Hands-on-Help will be an opportunity to get one-on-one and advanced help with the Geocacher's Swiss Army Knife. Note in your "will attend" log and / or bring in something you wish (or want) the program to be able to do, but just haven't figured out yet and our software wizards will make it happen for you (or at least try to)! Please note in your will attend log if interested in taking advantage of this, as we are currently capping participation to 10 people in order to make sure everyone gets their questions answered. If there is additional demand we will try to expand capacity.
- Build-A-WherIGO! will be an interactive exercise in building and publishing a WherIGo. We'll cover some of the basics (testing and uploading a cartridge, etc.), but the highlight will be spikep creating a brand new WherIGO on the fly with your input, and then making it available for other event attendees to find. If interested in participating, please note in your will attend log (along with specific subjects you might be interested in seeing) as we will be trying to customize this session based on participants and input. Again, capacity may be limited so noting your interest will help us better schedule and accommodate everyone. Watch this page for more updates and announcements!
- If you are willing to participate in a little EventIGo, please share a subject which you have expertise in on your Will Attend log. Obviously, this is purely optional and just a little bit of fun. Thanks!
Potluck continental breakfast / brunch / snacks
An area will be set up where we can socialize with a snack or two throughout the course of the morning. This will be an (optional) potluck event, so please post the dish you'll be bringing in your "Will Attend" log. We'll keep a master list of who is bringing what, right here on the NoVAGO forums. No already prepared pastry, fruit, snack, or drink will be turned away. All food is welcome!
