Geocache Description:

Congrats to our four randomly drawn FTFs: billandlore, brendabrnhrt, JHKOKKONEN, and t_taylor1986!
This cache is part of United Pi-Day 2015, a worldwide project involving traditional, mystery, and event caches--21 caches in all!--and the geocachers who find them.
Look for ways to connect with other participants in United Pi-Day. Visit a nearby cache to learn Sacramento's secret, but you will need Fellbach's (GER), Zaragoza's (ESP), and others. Stay tuned ...

People often ask, "how come there isn't a Pi Day CITO?" Well this year, there is!

Although there will be no pie served (unless you want to bring some!), we will have a good time and do some good work at this CITO event! The event takes place on Pi Day, March 14, 2015, or if you like 3.1415

We'll meet at Garcia Bend Park, near the posted coordinates, a few minutes before 11:30 to pass out supplies and complete waivers. (You can print out and complete your waiver ahead of time to make things run smoother on Pi Day. The waiver is available here.) Kids are welcome, but you must closely supervise any young children. After all, the river is both a wonderful resource and a powerful one. The event will go till 1:30. Quite a few folks will be attending Paracelsus' Pi Day event cache just prior, and I encourage you to be among them.

Trash Bags will be provided.

We will clean around the park and along the river nearby. Please wear long pants & a long sleeve shirt. Bring work gloves and--if you have them--trash pickers. Hiking boots are preferred--NO OPEN TOE SHOES!
