$Dannyboy$: La cache était toujours en place. Mais je ne vois plus trop l'intérêt de la cache. Donc, je laisse la place à de nouvelles caches. L'adapterai la bonus pour pouvoir continuer à la trouver.

The cache was still in place. But I don't see the point of the cache anymore. Therefore, I leave the spot for new caches. I will adapt the bonus so it is still findable.

Geocache Description:

At the coordinates you are standing in front of the Anjou Manor (Manoir d'Anjou).

The origin of the property dates back to the early part of the 19th century but it was in 1885 that Alfred Casimir Madoux built the castle Putdael as we know it today. This property is converted into a hotel with neo-classical castle-like with 3 floors and a dome capping the central part and new dependencies. A-C Madoux built the park and provided the several sculptures.

In 1913 , 9 years after the death of Madoux his widow signed a 9-year lease with the Duke of Orleans, Philippe VIII to the castle with a garden and two fields: the set was 9 ha.

Soon after, the Duke of Orleans purchased the entire property (12 ha). The park will be new facilities for bloom around the castle and those of the pond.

The woods of the park are decorated with over 1,000 plants chosen for their adaptation to the shadows. The dilapidated bridge that provides access to the island is demolished and replaced by a romantic bridge which still exists.

WWII meant a new exodus for the inhabitants of the Manoir d'Anjou: the Duke and Duchess of Guise, the Count and Countess of Paris left Woluwe-Saint-Pierre and the castle was occupied by the Germans. After the war, the area was acquired in 1948 by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd (Bon Pasteur) who dedicated themselves to teaching. Since 1987, it is the fraternities of the Good Shepherd who occupy the premises. The park still covers 5 ha. This is private property except for school buildings at the entrance fostering the famous school ICHEC.

The Cache

You don't need to enter the gates to find the cache.

The container is smaller than a micro but it's not a nano.

It's not big enough to foster any small items, Geocoins or small TB's.

Bring your own pen. It might also be handy to get the cache.

Please put the log book back as you found it: rolled in the cap.

Please be very discrete to pick up and put back the cache in its hidding place; and but it back exactly where and how it was.

Remember to note the character #4 of the geocoin tracking code for the bonus (GC5EAGN)
