Geocache Description:

This event is the kick-off to another weekend of camping and activities at Camp Lawton, aka Magnolia Springs State Park. Once again activities are planned throughout the weekend, including an event hosted by the Georgia Geo-Campers on Saturday evening.

This event will be from 6:30-10 PM.

Here is an outline of the activities:

6:30-7:30 PM - Enjoy lots of chat while munching on boiled peanuts and drinking hot cocoa. Peanuts and cocoa are limited to first come, first serve
7:30-9:30 PM - Activities and games, including a walk along the Starlight trail and a reverse 50/50 raffle
9:30-10 PM - Prizes and annoucements

We will primarily be in the pioneer campground. However, some of the night's activities will take you to other areas of the park. What does that mean for everyone? Well, the main thing is that there is no electricity! So please be sure to bring your flashlights! You will definitely need a decent flashlight for at least one of the night's activities. Also, the restrooms in the pioneer area are outhouses - so there is your fair warning. Even though we will be sans electricity, there is running water. We will have some lanterns around the main event area, but obviously we cannot light up everything.

For those wishing to camp in the pioneer campground, please be sure to sign up on the Georgia Geocampers event page. (Link will be provided when event publishes)

Please note that there is a $5 fee per day to enter the park, unless you have a park pass.

Even if you're not planning to camp for the weekend, please feel free to join us.

In addition to your flashlights, please be sure to bring yourself a chair, as seating is very limited.
