The church of St Mary or St Mary Magdalene, which was enlarged and restored in 1849, has a Saxon tower in original condition and traces of good 12th century architecture. The church was in normal use in 1962. Stained glass in this church dates to the 14th-15th centuries. A late 11th century parish church, which was altered in the 12th century and restored 1892 by J. D. Sedding.
