Geocache Description:

Appropriately, this is our 50th geocache hide! Another reason to get up in the Port Hills. This cache optionally will require a bit of history on your behalf, or new workload, but the actual cache itself will not require much effort at all- you can drive to within 300m or so, or you could do it properly and walk up from the bottom of the Port Hills :)

At the time of creation this cache was designed to bring the Geocaching world's attention to the immense efforts by legendary NZ Adventurer Malcom Law. In the past he has run 7 Great Walks around NZ in a Week, raising money for charities. He has also run up and down enough height in one day at Auckland's North Head to have equalled climbing Mt Everest to raise money for another charity. There are other things Mal has achieved of a similar nature, but this coming summer see's the most outrageous project yet get underway.

Mal Law has set the totally audacious goal starting in Feb/ March 2015 to run up and down 50 peaks all around NZ, all in 50 consecutive days, and to throw in for good measure another requirement to have run 50 marathons with the 50 peaks. If you are interested in more info about the project a simple Google search for High 50 will suffice- up to you!

Mal is truly an inspiration and Mr TwoSharpe has signed on to be a support runner for a few of the 50 days along with nearly 300 motivated and eager kiwis.

OPTIONAL EXTRA: We have decided to go easy on you. We were going to make this a challenge cache where you'd have to list 50 peaks and or 50 marathons that you have done, but this is outside geocaching rules. Instead, we are suggesting an optional extra for you to upload information outlining a list of this nature that might make you fit that requirement. Mrs and Mrs TwoSharpes Peaks/ Marathons are attached in a picture. Now, we are willing to be generous and allow non-named peaks ie Point 542 blah blah on a map, so long as you tell us where it is and we can find it on a map based on info in your log.

Please leave cache safe when you sign it!!!!

Mr and Mrs Two Sharpe's respective lists are attached
