A flash mob happens when a group of people assembles suddenly and performs a brief, odd act, then quickly disperses. Meet and laugh with many of the geocachers who will be attending the Yuma Mega Event #12.
Arrive at Yuma Palms Shopping Mall near the Harkins Theater a minute or two before 5:30 p.m. Bring a cell phone with alarm set for 5:30 p.m. and a banana, and try to be near (but not at) the coordinates. Keep your phone and banana hidden until the event begins. Be nonchalant, and please do not cluster near the coordinates.
When the phone alarms go off, everyone should quickly gather in the traffic round-about in front of the Harkins Theater. Bring out your banana, which will be used like a telephone receiver. Shut your alarm off and begin shouting, "Can you hear me now?" into the banana. Move around a bit, as if trying to find a spot of good reception, continuing to shout -- ever louder -- "Can you hear me now?"
When the music ("Shout!") starts, stop shouting and begin dancing, waving your arms (with banana in one hand and phone in the other) in time to the music. When the music stops, hide the phones and bananas and quietly wander off.
You'll find many restaurants in the mall area, so enjoy dinner out with your friends. Better, yet: attend the Yuma Mega Event Meet and Greet (GC5K68J)
