Bangor railway station is a terminal railway station which serves the town of Bangor.
The station was opened by the Belfast and County Down Railway on 1 May 1865 and closed to goods traffic on 24 April 1950.
The station buildings were erected in 1864-1865 to designs by the architect Charles Lanyon. The building was in poor condition by the mid-1990s and was demolished at the end of 1999. The current station replaced it in 2001.
