The Utah Field House of Natural History-State Park-Dinosaur Museum and Gardens offers guests a step back in time with vivid murals. Tile floors help guest connect geological time to real-time places in the area. Life size replicas of dinosaurs sneak into the museum through windows looking out onto the gardens. Curious visitors, both young and old, can experience being a paleontologist through hands on fossil digs, puppet shows, movies, books, models, puzzles, and the new observation window into the fossil preparatory lab. The museum is located on Vernal’s beautiful flower lined main street and is a must of all those visiting the area.
A NOTE on Museum Hours:Since this cache was placed the museum has changed their hours several times. Currently, the museum is open 9-5, Monday through Saturday. During peak times over the summer the have been open on Sundays also. If you will be arriving near closing time or on a Sunday, you are encouraged to call the museum to confirm the current hours (435) 789-3799.
