March 14th is known as International Pi Day as, if you write the date in the American format (i.e. 3/14), then you get the first three digits of Pi.
As such, we'd like to invite you to an event devoted to the other sort of Pi, the yummy sort encased in pastry. We will assemble at the published co-ords at 5pm for a geo-natter, and a chance to swap stories and trackables.
We will be bringing a small selection of pastry-encased goodies. You're encouraged, (although naturally this is completely optional) to follow suit, and we'll have a "pie-swap". It's also optional to eat said pies, although you may not be able to resist! Hopefully the weather will be agreeable enough for us to officially label it a picnic!
There are plenty of pre-existing caches in the area, and there may be a few more soon!
In partnership with cachers from all over the world, this is one of many events to mark the day. The letter E in this cache title is unique to this event, and the significance will become clear on the day.
The location is chosen as, seeing as Pi is an important property of a circle, we thought it only fitting to pick the roundest bit of Peterborough. It's quite a mound, hence the T rating. As such, we'd rate this cache as not suitable for wheelchair users, I'm afraid.
