A small container, located near a trail, containing a log and a pen (but it's always good to bring your own), a tenth of a mile past A Day Well Spent. A WheresGeorge dollar and a trackable to move along for the FTF. Room for small swag and trackables.
I was on my way to meet a cacher friend of mind, RKliman, who was on the top of the next mountain (where Oak Park Hilltop is) doing short wave (ham) radio stuff ( see link ). I started at the southern trailhead (end of Merida) and hiked up the Saddle Pass trail, checking on some of my caches. I also knew there was a gap here, which I intended to fill (and did so with this cache). Then I took the hard way up to Oak Park Hilltop, met up with Bob, and we hiked down the other side (taking the gentle trail) to the northern trailhead (on Bowfield). Great fun and camaraderie
That's an interesting conjunction of trails as you drop down into this saddle. UPDATE There are two trailheads to choose from - the trek from the northern trailhead is slightly shorter and not as much elevation gain (if you go directly to the cache).
*****Congratulations to fastflyer and crossbow spartan for FTF *****
Happy Caching! A cache a day keeps the doctor away
Feedback is always appreciated on the difficulty/terrain ratings, cache descriptions, etc - thanks.
