This Event is intended for cachers you have never done an overnight hike or a longer bushwalk. You can do it!
... of course everyone else is welcome as well.

In Victoria there are spectacular sceneries and amazing geocaches to discover. Some of them are hidden in nature’s most precious gems but this also means you can’t just drive there. If you put in the extra effort you will be rewarded with lasting memories and that knowing smile on your face and the smiley in your log. Overnight or multi-day hiking isn’t rocket science and everyone can do it. After all millions of people have done it before and our ancestors travelled this way.

Now the good news: They only requirement is you need to want it. Don’t let your physical fitness get in the way – just pick a shorter hike. It’s also not more expensive than normal geocaching. You probably will be surprised how much of the needed gear you already have.

Come to our free info night - from geocachers for geocachers - and learn how it can be done. During the evening we will cover the following topics:

  • Footwear
  • Clothing
  • Tents
  • Sleeping Gear
  • Backpacks
  • Food and Drinks
  • Gadgets
  • Emergency Procedures
  • Trip Planning
Plus we'll answer your questions. If you aren't sure about the equipment you have at home, just bring it along and we will tell you if it's fit for duty. Please try to make it on time since we'll start at 7. BYO food and drinks (pending on numbers we might do a pizza order).

Enjoying mother nature you will
