Congratulations geocachers! With your help, the Discover Lennox & Addington County Geocaching Event has achieved MEGA-STATUS for two years in a row. Let's keep the ball rolling!
In 2014, more than 700 geocachers converged on Lennox & Addington County from 5 provinces, 6 states, 5 countries and 3 continents. And by all accounts everyone had an amazing time!
Our 2015 event promises to be bigger and better than ever. Organizers from Lennox & Addington County and the Lennox & Addington Geocachers are once again teaming to make DLA2015 a truly unforgettable experience. An opening night party, great food, fun night caching, and amazing new caches are just some of the fun things you can expect to find during your geocaching weekend in L&A County! You won't want to miss it!
Below is information about just a few of the great things going on for this year's event:
Friday, August 21st
6:30 - 9 pm... Head to Conservation Park in Napanee for the popular 'L&A County Welcome Party'! Enjoy great local music, geocaching vendors, and more (details to follow...).
9 pm... Grab your flashlights and get and explore L&A and awesome night caches in the dark...
Saturday, August 22nd
8 - 9 am... Leave your mark in the visitors book! and pick up information packages that detail fun geocaching activities taking place during the weekend.
8 am - 5 pm... The event venue is open and staff are available all day to answer your questions. Drop in anytime for a coffee or share some geocaching stories. Games, draws and a fun kidszone will available throughout the day.
9 am - 4 pm... Head to all corners of Lennox & Addington County for some world-class geocaching. There are more than 1,300 geocaches to choose from! You can complete our popular Passport Tour, Impossible Mission, 150 Warden Challenge, or try your hand at our new geocaching game for DLA 2015 (details to follow...).
4 - 5 pm... After a fun day exploring L&A County, head back to the event venue for an amazing assortment of prizes, closing remarks, and group photo.
5:30 - 6:30 pm... We once again plan to offer dinner across the street from the main event venue at the Napanee Golf & Country Club. More information will soon be available on the event site.
