Ashton-under-Hill was the next station on the line south from Hinton-on-th-Green, GC54QDG heading towards Ashchurch. The line was closed in 1963, but had you been here in the century before then the station would have stretched out along what is now the treeline on your right. The trees towards Beckford follow the line of the tracks.
There is a hint that the railway line once existed. The road rises gently to ground zero. for no apparent reason. This was to go over a now defunct bridge over the railway line.
There is a layby at ground zero for those approaching by car.
