Geocache Description:

Welcome to Coshocton County, Ohio, home of Historic Roscoe Village, the Horse-drawn Canal Boat, Three Rivers Wine Trail and the Crow Homecoming! To introduce you to some of the history and beautiful sights of our county, we created The Crow Geotrail. We have 300 beautiful crow-themed geocoins (see below) available for cachers that complete the trail.

You must visit two locations to find this cache. Please note that parking is very limited at Old Stone Fort (the first location). You do not have to park or exit your vehicle to find the information you need. Please exercise caution if other vehicles are around and be respectful of the private residence adjacent to the fort. There is ample parking at the second location.

Near the posted coordinates, you will find a white post close to the road. The post contains one three-digit number and one single-digit number. Add them together and then subtract that number from both the north and west of the following: N 40 17.299 W 081 41.222. The cache is located at the resulting coordinates.

You are looking for a small lock-n-lock container hidden east of the parking area under a big downed tree branch. There is no need to go close to the river bank. The Coshocton County Sheriff's Department is aware of the placement. It is located on a public easement.

To earn your coin, obtain a passport by visiting the Coshocton County Visitors Bureau website (use Related Web Page link). Passports will also be available for pickup beginning launch weekend at the locations listed below.

Visit all 13 cache locations, sign the physical log, and record the key word on your passport. Once you complete the passport, return it to one of the locations below to pick up your coin.
