This cache is placed on Danesbury Nature Reserve. The pond has been fenced off and so is safe to walk around. Cattle graze here in the summer months. The cache is placed close to the pond, although not in it but water is very near by!
Danesbury is an historic parkland once linked to Danesbury House. It is now managed extensively using rare breed cattle and occasional cutting. It has a wide variety of flowering plants which support insects and birds. There are a number of large mature trees which are of huge value to wildlife, especially bats,owls fungi and insects.
