Cachen im grünen Herzen Deutschlands 2016
.
Durch die einzigartige Landschaft Thüringens mit seinen Mittelgebirgen, Höhenzügen und den dichten, weitläufigen Wäldern sowie seiner Lage in der Mitte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, wird Thüringen auch als das „grüne Herz Deutschlands“ bezeichnet.
Und genau hier ins grüne Herz Deutschlands laden wir am 21.05.2016 ab 10:00 Uhr Geocacher aus nah und fern ein, Erfurt, die Landeshauptstadt Thüringens, und das Eventgelände des egaparks zu erkunden.
Der Erfurter Garten- und Freizeitpark auf dem Cyriaksberg – kurz egapark – gehört mit über 36 Hektar zu den großen Garten- und Freizeitparks Deutschlands.
Der egapark repräsentiert die lange Gartenbau-Tradition der Blumenstadt Erfurt. Das Parkgelände liegt im Südwesten der Stadt auf dem Gelände der ehemaligen Festung Cyriaksburg und ist seit 1992 denkmalgeschützt.
Heute gehört der egapark nach der Wartburg zu den meistbesuchten Sehenswürdigkeiten Thüringens und wird deshalb auch „Garten Thüringens“ genannt.
Getreu dem Motto „Cachen im grünen Herzen Deutschlands“ möchten wir euch die Themen Geocaching und Natur näherbringen.

Caching in the green Heart of Germany 2016
Due to the unique landscape of Thuringia with his low mountain ranges and dense, vast forests, and its location in the center of the Federal Republic of Germany Thuringia is also called the "green heart of Germany".
And right here in the green heart of Germany on 21.05.2016 from 10:00 clock, we invite geocachers to Erfurt to explore the grounds of the event – the egapark.
The garden and leisure park on the Cyriaks mountain- short called egapark - belongs with more than 36 hectares to the large garden and leisure parks in Germany.
The egapark represents the long horticultural tradition of flower city of Erfurt. The park is located in the southwest of the city. It lies on the area of the former fortress Cyriaksburg and is a heritage protected building since 1992.
Today the egapark is one of the most visited attractions in Thuringia and is therefore also called "garden of Thuringia".
According to the motto "caching in the green heart of Germany" we would like to bring you closer the themes geocaching and nature.

What is a „Erfurter Puffbohne“? |

Ja, ihr habt richtig gelesen :)
Denn „‘ne rischdsche Buffbohne sein", heißt, ein echter Erfurter sein.
Doch wie kam es eigentlich dazu?
Im Mittelalter wurden Brunnenkresse, Kohl und Puffbohnen (Vicia faba) rund um Erfurt angebaut. Durch den nährstoffreichen Boden des Thüringer Beckens gedieh diese Bohnensorte besonders gut. Und zwar so gut, dass sie als „aufgebufft" und später als „ausgepufft" galt. Das bedeutet so viel wie „sehr groß".

History for "Erfurt Puffbohne":
In the Middle Ages were watercress, cabbage and broad beans (Vicia faba) grown around Erfurt.
Through the floor of the Thuringian Basin this bean thrived particularly well. They said she is "puffed". This means as much as "very large". |
