Located in the foothills of the Santa Rita Mountains near the ghost
town of Kentucky Camp.
If the beautiful scenic drive, the spectacular Santa Rita
Mountains, and a real ghost town won't get you to our cache, then
perhaps the fact we added more goodies(11/08/03) and the developed
picture of previous cachers to the cache will. To reach Kentucky
Camp, take SR 83 turnoff at Gardner Canyon Road (FSR 92). Take FSR
92 West (about 1/2 mile) to FSR 163 and follow FSR 163 and the
signs until you arrive at the parking area for Kentucky Camp. (It's
OK to cross the private property). At the parking area there is a
gate that allows foot access. Ask the groundskeeper for the tour
then look for the Arizona Trail marker. The cache is just beyond
the gate a little ways. Look for the ammo box hidden in the trees
under some rocks.
