Chevelon creek begins at Woods Canyon Lake, then digs an ever deepening canyon after combining with Willow Springs Creek. Although a map will show roads in this area, it has been designated a "non-motorized" area by the Forest service. This means that you choices are hiking, bicycling, horseback, or perhaps cross-country skiing. I chose bicycle, and made the nearly 11 mile round trip in 2.5 hours. Resist the temptation to find a "shortcut:" FR 236 from parking is the easiest way.
Once you get to ground zero, look for a rock outcropping. You will need to climb below it, about 30-40 feet below the top. While steep, it should be safe if you take care. You will be between a white fir above the rocks, and an oak which canopies the hiding place. It is hidden AZ style so should be easy once you get there. However, the tree cover is thick which obscures the gps signal, so take the spoiler pictures with you. The terrain difficulty is based both on the length of hike/bike and this last scramble.
