Birders come from all over to the town of La Riviere, Manitoba to view the many species of birds that fly thru on their way north to their nesting locations & summer homes. At the parking location during the spring birders will set up here and use their binoculars and other tools of the trade to view the various raptors and other species that fly over head.
Just outside of town to the east, south & west you'll find some great fishing locations as well. I've caught plenty master angler size fish from the local water ways.
We set this cache up to be family friendly & hope the younger geocachers enjoy it as much as we did setting it up.
Stage 1. the starting point it may be helpful to use a common birder tool to acquire the coordinates to stage two. A set of binoculars would be a great tool to use here, after all you are a birder for a few minutes while visiting this cache site.
Stage 2. we provided a tool of the trade for both birders & fishers. Place back as found please & thank you to preserve the caching experience for the cachers coming later.
Stage 3. at this location you'll find a capped item, please place back as found. Cap doesn't have to be placed back tightly as other cachers might have difficulty taking it off & thus not enjoy the cache as it is meant to be.
Congratulations to MORDENBIRDERS on FTF
