Geocache Description:

Beautiful site high above Deep Bay. Short hike is required up a steep rocky slope. Park at footbridge at end of road. While the climb looks ominous it can be made in 10 - 15 minutes at a leisurely pace. At the top you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of Deep Bay, St. John's and the Northwest coastline.

CELEBRATING 20 YEARS! Thank you to the 358 Geocachers that found this site over the first 2 decades!! Looking forward to many more adventurous visitors.

Fort Barrington was built by the British in 1779 as a lookout to protect the island's sugar cane fields from the French.

To verify that you found the cache and claim credit for the find e-mail me the number of rooms inside of the fort. Don't post your answer on the web site.
