We will celebrate with a bring your own picnic lunch at this unique dolomite canyon. I have also arranged for a guided hike through the canyon (self-guided tours are not allowed). You do not need to do the hike to attend the picnic.
Location: Sagawau Canyon, 12545 West 111th St, Lemont, IL, picnic tables to the right of the farmhouse
When: Sunday, October 12, 10 - 12:30; Tour starts at 10 am and takes about 1.5 hours. Please arrive early if you'd like to do the tour. We will finish up with a picnic (bring your own sack lunch) and socializing.
More information: Please be aware that the canyon tour is over rugged terrain. You will get your feet wet! We will be walking in the stream which can be as high as knee level at times. Bring extra shoes for afterwards! In the event of lightening or copious amounts of rain, the tour will be canceled.
