Vous pouvez voir 2 menhirs appellée LES DEMOISELLES DE ST JUST

QUARTZ:
The etymology of the word quartz is not obvious. The first assumption comes from the word "quaterz" or "quaderz" which refers to the sixteenth century the bad minerals. Another hypothesis is the contraction of the German word "gewärz" (outgrowth germ).
Quartz is a mineral composed of silicon dioxide chemical formula SiO2 (silica).
Quartz is the most common mineral (12% of the Earth's crust).
It has:
either in the form of large colorless crystals, colored or smoked, in veins, geodes, vugs or in alpine slots ...;
either in the form of microscopic translucent (chalcedony ...) crystals;
or in a solid form (rock, or veins in the rocks);
is still in an amorphous form (flint, jasper ...).
It is an important component of granite, which he fills the remaining space; and metamorphic rocks "granitic" (gneiss, quartzite); and sedimentary rocks (sand, sandstone).
Uses of quartz:
Construction sand, autoclaved aerated concrete, etc.
and various industry: glassmaking special glass manufacturing silicon and its derivatives, sandblasting, etc.
Watch and measures: applications of piezoelectricity of quartz,
decoration and decorative arts: jewelry, crystal (lead crystal), etc.
Former make fire (spark of flint) and fire (gun flint) ...
SHALE:
The slchiste (Greek skhistos, we can split)
Shale is a shale rock texture, that is to say, which disintegrates into sheets of varying thickness, wavy or irregular.
Mica is often abundant (hence the texture), but we find a lot of other minerals, varying the color, texture, and overall composition of the rock. They are generally small to medium. Larger crystals of garnet, sillimanite, kyanite, or other minerals are sometimes present (= "mineral mica schists").
Shale is formed by metamorphism average degree of fine-grained sediments, and often form large regional units in mountainous areas.
LANDES Cojoux:
Is to coordinate the alignment of the mill that is part of the second megalithic site in Brittany.
Moors and Cojoux Tréal are now recognized as the 2nd megalithic site of Carnac Britain after.
This vast sacred funerary vocation space was used for over 3000 years and has a unique range of monuments in Europe; in a landscape of dry Landes exceptionally preserved by the General Council of Ille et Vilaine. Les Demoiselles, Four-Sarazin, the Tribunal, the Chateau-Bu invite you through the mists of legends and the latest insights from archeology, a step back in time to discover our ancestors Neolithic. ..
The main monuments of Saint-Just lie on a natural ridge facing east to west, according to the preferred directions to watch the sunrises and sunsets. Saint-Just was a major religious center of Prehistory in Britain. South of the mill (there were three once) extend two lines of alignments 270 m long from east to west, and 70 meters wide from north to south.
These alignments are composed of menhirs quartz and schist
