Head to the summit of Rippon Tor.
There are fantastic views from Rippon Tor on a clear day down to the coastline of Torbay in one direction and expanses of moorland in the other. There are some cairns of and a trig point. Just below the summit on the north west slopes there is a recumbent granite cross cut out of the bed rock - maybe to keep away the evil spirits from the nearby ancient graves or as a memorial to someone? There is also an almost circular piece of granite intended for the base of a cheese press. You can also find HAYTOR VIEWS (1) - RIPPON TOR (GC11KHY) if you haven't already done so whilst you are here.
After admiring the views and exploring the tor follow the clear path down towards the cache and then to the little gate that leads to Hemsworthy Gate.
