I recently found a great ammo can cache after a gorgeous hike. In addition to the logbook, a diary was in the cache. I actually opened the diary first, thinking it was the logbook. It was the diary or notebook of a longtime cacher, a proficient puzzle solver, and I couldn't help but flip through it and have a look. It actually wasn't all that interesting--mostly random notes and some cute doodles--but there were a few relevant notes about solving puzzles. Often there was "GIYF" written in a margin. Yep, from my puzzle solving--and puzzle making--I agree. (I'm sending out birthday wishes to that cacher, BTW!) The most interesting diary entries were on the following dates:
