This is an overlook of a set of rapids in which the Powell expedition capsized one of their boats, thus the name.
This cache is essentially only accessible by rafting the Colorado river. When you stop at N 38;06.313 W110;01.033 to scout the rapids, you will take a rather lengthy hike and at the end are rocks that have etchings on them. These etchings are of expeditions that lost boats or people in the rapids. In order to get credit for this cache you must email us the two dates from the rock that has the picture of the boat on it. Please don't post the dates here.
