	Construída em 1961 no Estaleiro de Joaquim Farinha, esta é uma das últimas barcas tradicionais de Sesimbra. Em 2005, após mais de 40 anos na faina marítima, a barca fez a travessia do Atlântico, recriando a Rota de Pedro Álvares Cabral. A origem das barcas de Sesimbra, é anterior ao sé. XVII, visto que há registos documentais que indicam que em 1662 uma barca tradicional de Sesimbra, acompanhou Catarina de Bragança na viagem para Inglaterra para casar com o rei Carlos II, carregando o chá, que deu origem ao hábito inglês de consumo desta bebida, ainda em vigor nos nossos dias.


	Built in 1961 at the shipyard Joaquim Farinha, this is one of the last traditional boats of Sesimbra. In 2005, after more than 40 years in the maritime toil, the boat made the Atlantic crossing, recreating the route of Pedro Alvares Cabral. The origin of the boats of Sesimbra, predates sé. XVII, since no documentary records indicate that in 1662 a traditional barge Sesimbra, Catherine of Braganza accompanied on the trip to England to marry King Charles II, carrying the tea, which gave rise to the English habit of consuming this drink, even into force today.
