Queenborough is on the Sheerness line and was opened by the Sittingbourne and Sheerness Railway in 1860. It is slightly longer than a 7 mile stretch from Sittingbourne to Sheerness and until 1922 this was the only stop between the two. There was also a small branch line from Queenborough to the pier which served steam ship services.
