Geocache Description:

A traditional cache located near the top of Barn Hill.

If you enter the Dartmoor National Park from Tavistock you will eventually climb up Pork Hill.  This is a stange hill as it has no top - it is really just a road name!  If you could continue straight you would actually climb to the top of Cox Tor, but the road swings right and there is a very large car park with a view point towards Tavistock and Cornwall beyond.  On a clear day you get excellent views of Kit Hill and Caradon Hill many miles away.

Beyond the car park is a small hill, known as Barn Hill.  It is just another extension of Pork Hill, but on the other side of the road to Cox Tor, but offers good views to the south and Pew Tor.

Cache placed with the kind permission of the Dartmoor National Park Authority.
