Geocache Description:

Event is on Saturday, October 11th from 11:00a to 2:00p. Location of Murphy's Flowage Rec Area and Campground is right on County Road F just north of South Bucks Lake Road. Nice easy place everyone will be able to find. Time and location will give ample caching time before and after the event and a centralized location to the caches. We will have a snacking lunch at noon. Bring a snack to share and maybe a sack lunch for yourself. As I have seen at most of these events if everyone brings a little it is usually way more than enough for everyone.

Rustic Road 114

Location: Rusk County. Firelane, Perch Lake, North and South Buck’s Lake Roads, between County O and County F

Length: 13.1 miles

Surface: Gravel

R-114 is located in the scenic Blue Hills area of Rusk County. The route includes access to trails for biking, hiking, skiing and hunting, along with two county campgrounds and multiple lakes including Perch, Audie, Bucks, and Murphy Flowage. R-114 also provides a very picturesque canopy of fall colors.

I also have a very good feeling there will be some more caches placed in the area for the event.

More info to come but here is the gist of it.

This event should be at a great time to come out and see all the fall colors. Event time will be roughly from 11:00am to 2:00 pm. There is a pavilion close by and play area. Camping across the street. Plan is to have a gathering, snacking and of course caching event. Please bring some sort of food or snack to share and please bring your own plates and utensils.

An additional location just down the road for camping is the Audie Lake campground and park. Audie Lake is in the center of the Blue Hills and would be great but there are no pavilions there. I could have a CITO there at 2:30 if anyone would want one but it would need to be submitted by September 21st.

I added the coordinates for the Audie Lake park for reference.
