Geocache Description:

Special equipment will make this cache much easier.

On August 22, 2001, I first learned about Geocaching, when a local Phoenix TV station ran a story on it during the 10pm news.  I ran into my office to look up the closest cache, and off I went with my trusty Garmin GPS III, that my Dad had given me, because he thought I might use it.  With shoulders hung low, I came home deflated, having attempted my first cache at night, and not having a clue as to what I was looking for. A flashlight didn't help me then, and it won't help you with this cache either.  I went back the next day, and earned my first smiley with a little effort.

This cache is meant to honor that Geocaching discovery, which took place nearly 13 years ago.  As with many pre-teens, this cache is going to be difficult.  Its difficulty rating is based on what will be needed to make this cache an easier find.  For those of us with kids, we wish we had a manual for how to deal with this transition in their lives, when they go from innocent to knowing everything, and think their parents are gross.  You will wish you had the proper tool to find the cache, if you show up without it, and walk away with a DNF.

Please don't turn the landscape upside down. You won't need to.
